The Blackstone Cheeseburger Quesadilla

Ingredients:

  • Ground beef: 1 lb
  • Onion: 1 small, finely diced
  • Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • Worcestershire sauce: 1 tablespoon
  • Salt and pepper: to taste
  • Flour tortillas: 4 large
  • Cheddar cheese: 2 cups, shredded
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, pickles, ketchup, mustard

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the griddle: Preheat your Blackstone griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the beef: In a skillet, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Season: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Assemble the quesadillas: On the griddle, lay down a tortilla, sprinkle half the cheese, add half the beef mixture, then more cheese, and top with another tortilla.
  5. Cook the quesadilla: Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until the tortillas are crispy and the cheese is melted.
  6. Repeat: Make the second quesadilla with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Serve: Let cool slightly, then cut into wedges and serve with optional toppings.

Serving Tips:

  • Cut into wedges: This makes them easy to share and eat.
  • Add toppings: Customize with traditional burger toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles.
  • Pair with dips: Serve with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.

Storage Tips:

  • Refrigerate: Cool leftovers, then store in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days.
  • Reheat: Warm up in a skillet to keep the quesadillas crispy.
  • Freeze: Wrap cooled quesadillas individually and freeze for up to 2-3 months.
